Evelyn first heard of Conquest Art through her Church, Reigate Park United Reformed. Having been confined to a wheelchair by an illness that caused spinal injury, she needed a creative outlet and the opportunity to socialise with other people. She had not painted since her school days but now produces beautifully sensitive paintings in her preferred medium, acrylics. Evelyn will attempt the most complex of subjects - always positively and sometimes with humour. She says that concentrating on her art brings ‘peacefullness’. |
