Recruiting New Trustees
By Conquest Art on 24th April 2025

Our constitution states that Trustees perform the role for three years which can be extended twice.  Several of the current Trustees including our Chairman have served more than nine years and will be stepping down.

What is a Trustee?

Trustees are the volunteers who lead charities and decide how they are run.  You may have heard them called board members or the board.

Who Do We Need?

Essentially we need a Chairman who has business skills and can run meetings efficiently and a Treasurer who has financial skills.  You do not have to have specific skills but you may find that your skills will develop through time.  We do need someone who is computer literate and who has some time to spare for attending meetings mostly on Zoom about six times a year.  This would involve various discussions about issues that Trustees need to make decisions on.  We do need someone who cares about our Charity and who can uphold our aims and objectives.

How will Conquest Art benefit You?

Trusteeship is a great way of contributing to a cause that benefits those with disabilities and health issues through art group participation.
Your decisions will help our Charity move forward and give you the satisfaction of being valued and listened to.
You can develop strategic and leadership skills that will help grow your confidence and self-esteem.
You will make new friends and feel supported within the team.
We warmly welcome those members who may have varying disabilities to apply.

If you or someone you know may be interested in joining the Trustee team, please contact trustees@conquestart.org
