Group Leaders Needed!
Your few hours a week could make a real difference to people’s lives. Sadly, three of our group leaders had to step down and one would like to take a step back from their role so we are seeking replacements for our Cheam, Godalming, Halesworth, and Woking art groups.
The group leader does not do everything, They are the main contact person between Head Office and the group and is responsible for managing the volunteer team. All our art groups are run by a team of volunteers, which have a variety of different gifts from organisational skills, artistic experience to someone dealing with the money or making the tea. But most of all we need your enthusiasm to help create a friendly welcoming environment where members feel relaxed and able to make the most of their time with us. The helpers set up the room with art materials and clears away at the end of each session. During the group you can provide help, guidance, and artistic ideas if you can and if required. The aim of the group is for an informal and collaborative environment in which to produce the best possible outcome for group members. Tea, coffee, biscuits, or cake are usually served during the session.
The Cheam group held every Thursday at St. Paul’s Church Centre from 2:00 to 4:00pm.
The Godalming group is held every Thursday at Godalming United Church from 10:30am to 12:30pm.
The Halesworth group is held every Wednesday at United Reformed Church from 1:30 to 3:30pm.
The Woking group is held alternate Tuesdays at the Woking United Reformed Church from 2:00 to 4:00pm.
All group times above exclude setting up and clearing away.
Volunteers are the people who make Conquest Art possible.
