Group Leaders Needed!
By Conquest Art on 29th July 2024

Your few hours a week could make a real difference to people’s lives. We are looking for organised, realiable and enthusiastic volunteers to take on the group leader role for our Halesworth, Kingston and Woking art groups.

The group leader does not do everything,  They are the main contact person between Head Office and the group and is responsible for managing the volunteer team. All our art groups are run by a team of volunteers, which have a variety of different gifts from organisational skills, artistic experience to someone dealing with the money or making the tea. But most of all we need your enthusiasm to help create a friendly welcoming environment where members feel relaxed and able to make the most of their time with us.  The helpers set up the room with art materials and clears away at the end of each session. During the group you can provide help, guidance, and artistic ideas if you can and if required. The aim of the group is for an informal and collaborative environment in which to produce the best possible outcome for group members. Tea, coffee, biscuits, or cake are usually served during the session.

The Halesworth group is held every Wednesday at United Reformed Church from 1:30 to 3:30pm.

The Kingston group is held every Tuesday at The Searchlight Centre from 3:30 to 5:00pm.

The Woking group is held alternate Tuesdays at the Woking United Reformed Church from 2:00 to 4:00pm.

All group times above exclude setting up and clearing away.

Volunteers are the people who make Conquest Art possible.

Would you like to join the volunteer team?

Please email us enquiries@conquestart.org or phone 020 8393 7707 if you like to find out more.  You can also read the group leader role description below to find out what it all involves.
