Save the Rain Forest
By Conquest Art on 4th December 2017

This autumn an exciting project has been underway. We invited a local nature charity, World Land Trust (WLT), to come and give a talk on their work. Dan Bradbury explained with images, how WLT buys rainforest land in order to save the land, thus protecting plants and animals. They work alongside local indigenous people whose understanding to protect the ways of the rainforests is so valuable for its survival. Enthused with this knowledge and our own love of nature, our focus has been to create cards based on the rainforest and its inhabitants.

From printed cards of our art images, we are now hoping to raise funds for World Land Trust’s forthcoming appeal ‘The Treasure Chest Appeal’. By participating with WLT, Lucy has created a powerful poster ‘Save the Rainforest’.

It has been a great experience, filled with fun and learning for us all! We look forward to creating more art throughout this winter season.

Happy creating!
