Chris Grayling’s Visit to Cheam
Our Cheam group welcomed a special visitor recently when the Right Hon Chris Grayling, MP for Epsom and Ewell, popped in to meet members and volunteers. Six Conquest Art groups are in his constituency and Chris was keen to meet those involved and learn more about the Charity as it celebrates its 40th anniversary.
Chris spent time with each of the artists and volunteers in turn, commenting that he too would like to be able to draw as some were doing and he encouraged everyone to keep developing their talents. He also expressed surprise that a few daubs on paint on paper had become a beautiful vase of flowers in the time it had taken him to walk round the table!
