World Braille Day!
On 4th January – it’s World Braille Day.
Our Worcester Park Group Member, Sean Stanley is blind. He has enjoyed trying a tactile approach to painting in an abstract stained glass style. He drew a free design on a canvas board, which Carole, the group leader, went over with ‘artificial lead’, thus creating raised lines which he could feel. He was then able to fill his design with colour, with striking results.
Sean although blind, is finding his creativity and expressing his imagination through art. Where disability meets creativity.
