Farewell Treasured Trustee
By Conquest Art on 3rd November 2020

Our friend and fellow Trustee Rosemary Foote has decided to step down from the team, due to ill health, after five years of service to Conquest Art.

I first met Rosemary when I helped on the fund raising committee for her husband Rob’s Mayoral year and was made aware of her talent for organisation and attention to detail.
When the year was over I approached her to ask if she might consider becoming a Trustee for Conquest Art, her first response was “I’m not arty, I don’t know what I would have to offer”. Typically she went away and researched the charity before deciding to join us and we have been immensely grateful for her talents in so many ways. Rosemary’s understanding of the complex but essential things like policy documents, and her sharp eye for the details when preparing new leaflets and our new website have helped us bring the charity up to date and in line with all the necessary regulations. I can’t imagine how we would have done it without her.

She has participated in the open days, Annual Meeting and Exhibition where she has been our ‘go too’ greeter for the visiting Mayors.
Rosemary has made a major contribution to the work of CA, her talents and her company will be missed by all of us.

Lesley Lee, Trustee.
